We are adding 2 new regular series meetings and changing when the toddler meeting is in order to accommodate more moms.

There will still be the evening meeting on the first Wednesday of every month, but if you are unable to get there, or mornings/Saturdays are better for you - the same topic will be discussed on the 3rd Friday & Saturday mornings at 10am.

The Toddler meeting will now be on the 4th Friday morning. Note the change of time - 10am.

The meetings change places, so watch the website for where the next one will be.

Babywearing Event - Sunday, April 3rd, 1:30-3:30pm

Join us for a presentation on the benefits of babywearing and the best slings, wraps, pouches and soft-structured carriers on the market. We will demonstrate different ways to carry your baby, as well as the best nursing positions. Feel free to bring your own carriers if you would like help using them and we will also have a variety for you to try.

Moms, dads, grandparents, caregivers, and, of course, your children are all welcome. There will be a suggested donation (per family) of $5 for LLL members and $10 for non-members to help sustain our group.

The presentation will be at the Hunterdon County Library Headquarters, 314 State Route 12, Bldg #3, Flemington, NJ.

LLL Holiday Cookie Exchange - Friday, December 17th, 9:30am
In lieu of our regular toddler meeting this month, we thought it would be fun to do something a little more festive, so please join us for a holiday cookie exchange at Kim's house in High Bridge. How it works: You make 1 type of cookie to share and everyone leaves with an assortment of cookies. (Eat them, give them as gifts, use for your own holiday get togethers, etc) The number of people attending will determine how many cookies to bring, typically it's about 6 dozen - usually 1 recipe doubled. Babies and toddlers are welcome. Please RSVP by December 12th.

This topic of our next series meeting is overcoming difficulties. We will discuss the book, The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, and how it can help mothers overcome roadblocks and go on to successfully breastfeed their babies. We had a great turnout at the baby fair on Saturday. Although our table was located at the very end, we had a lot of people stop by to pick up LLL information and ask questions. It may have been the large gift basket that attracted them to the table so thanks again to everyone who donated items and congratulations to Tiffany C. for winning the basket!

Monthly toddler meetings, starting in May!

Now that we have TWO leaders, we are very excited to add a monthly toddler meeting. Everyone is welcome at a toddler meeting, whether your little one is still an infant or is an older pre-schooler, these topics will be above and beyond the series meetings topics, which are generally more breastfeeding management-related.

We will continue to have our regular series meeting on the first Wednesday of the month, but in the evening only, at 7:30pm. The toddler meeting will be held on the third Friday of the month at 9:30am. Stay tuned for more information...

Hunterdon Medical Center will host the sixth annual Baby Fair, a free event for expectant parents, new families and parents of toddlers, on Saturday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the main lobby of the hospital, located off Route 31 in Raritan Township.

Stop by our LLL of Clinton table to say hi and register to win a great basket, full of mom and baby items. Many thanks to our members who donated items for the basket!
